Cryptojacking script found in live help widget impacting 1,500 Sites

Further evidence that security is a round-the-clock affair. On the eve of thankgsiving holiday in the US, a security researcher discovered the source of a huge cryptojacking campaign after analyzing the code of hundreds of websites.

In November 2019, the live chat and support software platform disclosed that crypto currency miner script(JS) had been embedded in its product after one of its servers were compromised. That miner script was being loaded on the almost 1,500 websites that load the live chat company's widget.
