In December 2019, the airline company disclosed that they had suffered "a malicious cyber attack on our company’s IT network" and confirmed that they were working with the FBI / other authorities and a cyber security company to restore affected company systems.
As part of their incident response, the company cancelled specified flights up until 12 noon on the day of the attack and outlined their expectation of other cancellations and / or delays across their network throughout the rest of the day as the attack had forced them to disconnect their maintenance system and its back-up. The only exceptions were PenAir flights and RavnAir Connect flights which the company confirmed were still operating as normal on back-up systems.
