Synopsis

The biggest loss of data disclosed in 2014 with 50 million records exposed.

In February 2013, an online note-taking and archiving service disclosed that it has suffered a serious security breach that saw hackers steal usernames, email addresses and encrypted passwords of nearly 50 million users. The company confirmed no user content or financial information was accessed.

As part of the company's response to the security breach they implemented a mandatory password reset for all customers "out of an abundance of caution".
